First-time home buyers, Laura and Shaun Fraser, along with their young son Finlay, have opted to build a new home after finding it more cost-effective than purchasing an established property.

The Brisbane couple recently acquired land within the Redlands residential community, Arc on the Point, developed by Urbex, utilising the combination of the $30,000 Queensland Government first-home owner grant and a limited-time titled land stock sale.

Their surprise came after realising the combined opportunities could afford them a brand-new home tailored to their growing family, versus an older established home outside of their budget and ideal location.

“We were looking for an established house for a long time that met the eligibility criteria for the first homeowner grant, and we just couldn’t find anything within our budget and in the area that we want to live in. The more we investigated the option of building, the more it became an attractive option for us.”

Laura says it was fate that drew them to Arc on the Point.

“We were just getting over the disappointment of different options falling through for us when I got an email from the Sales Consultant at Arc on the Point letting us know they were having a sale on titled land and this particular lot had been reduced by $130,000. So suddenly, building a home became very much within our price range,” Laura continued.

“It was so surprising because I had never considered building before. I just always thought it seemed too scary and daunting, but the process has been better than I could have imagined, and the return is better. It seems like the better option overall because we were able to enter the market within our budget and we get a brand-new home that we can design ourselves. It just worked out perfectly.”

Offering a stock sale on titled land is an opportunity Urbex has implemented within Arc on the Point that could save buyers an average of $100,000 per lot when their purchase is settled on or before June 28th, 2024.

"Whether buyers are just starting their home ownership journey or are further along, this opportunity allows them to achieve the home they've always dreamed of," Phil Johnston, Sales Manager at Urbex, said.

“Since the sale launch, we've seen a notable increase in land enquiries, with both individuals and couples considering building or investing in Victoria Point. It's a rare chance to capitalise on the titled land stock sale with some buyers leveraging their substantial savings towards their dream homes or indulging in  pursuits synonymous with the bayside lifestyle.”

The prospect to build comes at an opportune time in the suburb following a 6.3 per cent growth in value for established homes in Victoria Point over the past 12 months and the median price point now sitting at $850,000.*

Located in the Redland district, Arc on the Point is situated mere minutes away from supermarkets, specialty shops, cinemas, and restaurants, and promises more than just convenience. Spanning 25 hectares with open green spaces, landscaped parklands, and forthcoming playgrounds, the estate invites endless recreation opportunities.

Laura says the location and amenities were another element she never anticipated being part of the package as a first-home builder.

“We never thought it was going to be possible for us to live in an estate surrounded by bushland, beautiful green trees to look out on and live in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood for our first home,” Laura said.

“Somehow, miraculously, this lot that we secured is opposite this gorgeous green farmland and immersed in nature. I love that our son Finlay has the opportunity to roam around and embrace nature and native birds.”

Interested parties are urged to promptly register their interest via the register now button to enquire about pricing and land availability before June 30, 2024, to avoid missing out on substantial savings.
