Arc On The Point: Healthy living by the bay

Staying active is an important part of living a healthy life! Arc on the Point is located in beautiful South East Queensland, surrounded by parks, nature walks, and gyms to help you live an active lifestyle. 

Local gyms

Club Lime Victoria Point is conveniently located in Lakeside Shopping Centre, just five minutes from Arc on the Point. Club Lime has all the gym equipment you could imagine, a crèche room, sauna, personal training options and is open 24/7 to make getting in your workout as easy as possible. 

Movement 4 Health is another great gym option to incorporate exercise into your weekly routine. Located in Victoria Point Lakeside Shopping Centre, the gym offers a regular M4H Gym membership and has the option for additional classes including Move4Life, Move4Mums, Move4Health, Move4Veterans, and more specialty classes with accredited exercise physiologists.

Local walks and outdoor activities 

There are plenty of free outdoor activities around Arc on the Point, head to the Victoria Point Recreation Reserve for beautiful bay views, parks and playgrounds and BBQ facilities. Visit the WH Yeo Park facilities for exercise and walks along the waterfront. 

For a beautiful and breezy walk, head along the water on the Victoria Point Beach Front Walk, from the starting point at Orana Esplanade and finishing at Beer Tree Bay on the Wilson Esplanade is 2.6km and 5.2km return, in total taking roughly an hour. The path is mostly flat and suitable for those capable of walking long distances.

A great way to stay fit and socialise is to grab some friends or family to go on a walking trail. Less than 30 minutes away, the Daisy Hill Convention Park offers two designated walking trails, the 450m Paperbark Trail is suitable for wheelchairs and families with strollers and features a boardwalk. For those who are looking for a longer hike, there are three circuits that start at the Daisy Hill Trail hub, the Spotted Gum circuit is 5.2km, the Stringybark circuit 5.7km and for experienced hikers the Buhot Creek circuit is 9km. All three circuits are Grade Three walks so be sure to visit the website and check that you are prepared for the walks.
